Before and after

There used to be a lot of trees by the river.
There used to be woods.
There used to be fields.
There used to be a lake.
There didn't use to be blocks of flats.
There didin't use to be buildings.
There didn't use to be factories.
There didn't use to be housing state.
There didn't use to be motorway.
There didn't use to be pavement.
There didn't use to be a village.
